They find out Brooke’s secret is much bigger than they originally thought it to be Brooke’s character was very well written akce showed tremendous growth from the beginning of the book to the end, but given everything that she went through that was definitely expected.

Parts of the book left me wanting more and I think the full potential of the scene or story were not fully realized.

Overall, the storyline for Descended by Blood seemed underdeveloped and it was really hard for me to support the main character. I think the fact that I have two teenagers of my own and get to deal with the daily dramas that ensue, that most of the time the last thing I desscended to do is read about more teenage angst in a book. Even though he tries to act cool, Brooke knows deep down he is caring, and now she is finding herself caring for him in just the same way, but her and Jaren are still talking and her heart doesn’t know what to do.

Brooke finds out in a really awkward waythats she’s half vamp, that someone wants her killed as she’s considerd am abomination and has bu go on the run whilst learning to control her new powers. Sep 19, Amy Fournier rated it it was amazing.

As freaky as this was.

She is not sure what she is seeing but she is deep in thought. The premise, while not entirely unique, was intriguing and easy to follow, though not quite up to par with what I expected from this novel. Likewise, this book reminds me of another vampire book I’ve read with poor writing. I can now go and buy the others knowing that my money would be well spent on angelinf quality read!

They were so much fun and totally the perfect pair The ending was a tease and I love that. Now here is the prize of this triangle. It’s mysterious, it’s magical, it’s reddish! Annoying characters; extreme pacing issues; lacking of development and featuring of the qualities that did come across as interesting.

Go and buy it, I promise you will have a terrific time reading it ; But they do drink blood for “sustenance. Now her relationship with Jaren is taking a hit and she is forced to leave home dedcended some where safe. Just so everyone is prepared going iace this review…. I love the fa This debut, the first of the Vampire Born trilogy novels from Angeline Kace, was an absolute smash hit for me. He pulled away from me and cupped my head, stroking my outer ear lobe with his thumb.

She sets a wonderful example with her determination and self-sufficiency, something that has been rather hard to find in a lot of YA novels. Although I like the characters and their appeal, I was quite disappointed in Jaren for a while. Then her world is turned upside down and will never be the same. At that moment, I knew I felt the same way for him. Seriously, the pacing of the narrative was brilliant.

Brook is an emotional character that seems to be headed towards something interesting, and I hope the next part of her journey fills in the gaps that seemed underdeveloped in this first book.
