However, if this is the first time that you heard of Madeline Hunter, this book is not the perfect one to start. Right from the get go he is already making a nuisance of himself trying to run her show. So she and her fairbounre concoct a deception, hiring a handsome and charming front man who will do her bidding Blame It on the Duke.

Even though, this one, is more focused on the smuggling part than the romance. But the headstrong Emma is like no other lady he has ever encountered, refusing to follow his dictates. I found his presumptuousness completely galling and was frustrated that Emma went along with it so often.
When I sit down and read a book if you can make me laugh cry, chuckle and few times I have enjoyed the read I don’t even mind if the book is somewhat slow going in the beginning as long as it picks up but, I found that none of what I was looking for in a book happen here for me.

More the annoying Miss Fairbourne and the exasperating Miss Fairbourne. Mjss attempted to stand. The Duke of Nothing. Of course, she is not addlepated enough to do this openly and scare away her wealthy collectors.
Emma is sure Robert is alive and is adamant the auction house be kept running until Robert returns to take its reins.

I was having such a great time as a prisoner. Then again, she never really surrenddr like she had a surrener handle on her plan for the auction house either, so can I really say that I was surprised by how she handled it? You are on the shelf for a reason.
I could sense the two were attracted to one another, but their attraction lacked power and conviction. Emma’s inability to see herself as more than his mistress was believably handled, at least in the terms you require for a successful Regency Romance.
A man could not look like this and not know just how perfect his face appeared.
I’m disappointed and as I write this review I have sufrender 80 pages to the end of the book and I don’t care. He took a deep breath, as if fortifying himself for an unpleasant task. Instead I rather despised her by the end.
madekine OMG what a sleeper this read was I forced myself to finish it. So Darius is a legitimate owner and yet Emma treats him with contempt and deception at every turn pretty much right from the start.
How the Duke Was Won. He half expected a spear to appear in her hand and for her to bellow a Celtic battle cry. She wished he would hurry up with it too.
